Automaton Mechanical Music Bird Boxes & Bird Cages | Buy, Sell, Appraise Singing Musical Birds

Automaton musical / singing bird boxes and bird cages are mechanical masterpieces which have sang charming tunes since the 19th C. Produced mostly in Europe, the automaton mechanical music bird boxes and cages were made by a variety of well known makers. Each musical piece is uniquely created by the maker and ranges in complexity, material and beauty. Manor Auctions will sell a nice variety of automaton bird boxes and cages consigned from a private Florida collection.

Automaton-Musical-Bird-CageMany of the automaton musical bird boxes and cages are made to be very decorative and ornate, possessing fine, intricate detail. Each bird is made to be life-like in functionality, with moving head, wings, tails and mouth. In come instances real birds were sometimes used. Mechanically, the birds are made to move and react perfectly with the tune or music the box / cage is set to play. Makers went to great lengths to ensure all the mechanics moved in unison to create a brilliant and pleasing finished product. This being said, the automaton musical birds may be found with multiple birds withing a single cage. In these cases, the complexities became even greater in that the birds would sing in harmony, alternating their turn singing alongside each other. The more birds present, the more complex the mechanics and the greater the effort involved.

The automaton musical bird boxes and cages would most often be made from sterling silver, silver-plate, brass and other types of workable metals. These were mostly found to be key-wound, with switches to activate the birds to sing.

This is a great opportunity for collectors to expand their collections. If you do not own a automaton bird box or cage, this is your chance to purchase one of these intriguing mechanical masterpieces. They can be enjoyed and spoke about for years to come.

Auction - Achieve The Most Money Possible For Your Valuables

Why Auction? Because Selling Through Competitive Bidding Of Auction Achieves The Highest Price Possible For Valuables & Collectibles.

Contact Auctioneer Malcolm Mason to learn how a well executed, professional auctioneer & appraiser can ensure your valuable collectibles realize the most most money possible. Don't place yourself at risk of a pricing error.

When global collectors compete, Sellers win!

Auctions achieve the highest price possible for valuables - sell through global collector competition, not negotiation. Marketing and selling collectibles, coins, jewelry, fine art, antiques, silver, militaria, historical documents, memorabilia, timepieces & essoteric items through auction allows thousands of serious collectors from around the world to simultaneously compete - and the one willing to pay the most to prevail. This is how a seller achieves the most money possible for valuables & collectibles. No other form of trade or commerce can duplicate the advantages of a properly marketed and executed auction.

You may find yourself asking: What are the advantages in selling through auction?

Fact: Throughout history, auctions have created more real value than all other forms of trade combined.

Auctions create real value: There is no better method of sale by which a you will realize more money for your valuables than through a properly marketed, managed and executed auction. Auctions bring thousands of interested global collectors together at a given point in time to competitively bid on goods and services. This competition of interested parties drives value. The value created through auction is real, and when the hammer falls, you know you achieved the highest price possible for your valuables.

Don't limit your potential by selling valuables privately: Selling valuable items privately leaves a you at grave risk of making a significant pricing error. Private sales have negotiated price ceilings, meaning you set the ask price and then the buyer negotiates a lower price. Don't place yourself at risk by setting a price ceiling or confining yourself to a limited buyer base / geographic area. A seller will never know how much a private buyer was truly willing to pay. Tap the potential of auction, where a global audience of collectors compete, and know you are maximizing the potential return on your most valued possessions. Also one must not overlook the dangers in having complete strangers call and visit your home, this is not a pricing risk, but a physical risk.

Synopsis: Auctions DO NOT have price ceilings! Contracting the services of an experienced and professional auction company to properly market your valuables to a global audience of truly interested collectors, where the buyers are allowed to openly compete and the highest bid prevail, is the only way you know you have achieved the highest price possible for your valuables!
